Growing Pains star Alan Thicke died suddenly at age 69 on Tuesday. But if we can learn anything from Thicke's final words, it's that he had an unrivaled sense of humor and enjoyed life to its fullest up until the very end.

The Daily Mail reported that Thicke was playing hockey with his friends and his 19-year-old son, Carter, when he was suddenly forced to sit down.

While Thicke thought nothing of it and encouraged those around him to continue their game, Carter was concerned and called 911.

As he was being wheeled away on a stretcher, Thicke told to Carter get a photo of him because he thought the entire ordeal was amusing.

"Ah, take a shot, kiddo," Thicke told Carter, encouraging him to get the hockey rink in the background.

Thicke died a short time later at a hospital in Burbank, California.

Based on his family and countless celebrity friends' reactions to his death, it's clear Thicke's life and legacy won't be forgotten anytime soon.
