9 Movie Moms That We Aspire To Be
lightwarrior49

Movie moms come in all shapes and sizes, are sometimes hilarious, and sometimes terrible. But when it's an awesome mom that somehow seems to do it all - just like Sarah Jessica Parker in I Don't Know How She Does It? rocks being a working mom that has an amazing dinner on the table for her kids - we're left in awe! While that was a fictional character, she's probably an awesome mom IRL too and deep down we wish we could be boss moms that can handle everything. Here are some of the most awesome on screen moms that we aspire to be!

Lorelai Gilmore

Technically Gilmore Girls was a T.V. show, but with a mini series revival on Netflix it's like a movie now? Really we'll create whatever reason to bump Lorelai Gilmore into the movie mom category because she was by far one of the best moms on screen. With her never ending support for her kid, and any children around her, she made the biggest sacrifices for Rory and had a one of kind relationship with her - one that all mothers and daughters aspire to!

Leigh Anne Touhy

The Blind Side was based on the true story of Michael Oher and the Touhy family and Sandra Bullock does a knock out job portraying Leigh Anne Touhy. She fiercely protected her children, all of them, biological or not, and that protective instinct is something only a good mom has.

Cookie Lyon

If we're including T.V. moms in this list it would not be complete without Cookie Lyon from Empire. Played by Taraji P. Henson, Cookie is bad ass mom who served time for her kids and the second she got out, started fighting battles for them. She is definitely one mom not to mess with!

Maria Von Trapp

The Sound of Music is based on the real lives of the Von Trapp family! It's said that Maria initially didn't really love the Captain but rather loved the children so much and saw their need for a mother that she married him. In the movie, however, Julie Andrews is wonderful bringing laughter back into the lives of 7 children and giving them the love of a mother they missed for so long.

Annie Camden

Another T.V. mom on the list but let's face it, Annie Camden was a great mom on the show 7th Heaven. As a mother of 7 children she somehow found the time to support them all through their many crises, go back to school, and be the wife of a minister. Gold star rating!

Jessica Huang

Constance Wu plays Jessica Huang in the T.V. series Fresh Off the Boat, a show about Asian-American parents raising first-gen kids in Florida. While the show provides a lot of laughs, Jessica is a boss mom making sure her kids appreciate what they have and raising them to be the best they can be.

Elizabeth James

Natasha Richardson, a beloved mother in real life, had channeled her emotions into The Parent Trap as Elizabeth James. While the plot of the movie rests on the separation of twins, she had to be a pretty strong woman to not see one of her children grow up. Nevertheless, she loved Annie endlessly and was a very fashionable mom!

Marisa Ventura

Marisa Ventura in Maid in Manhattan, played by Jennifer Lopez, was a hard working mom who took a lot of crap from people to make sure she could provide for her son. Without the support of her husband, she made sure to give him the love and encouragement of 2 parents.

Mrs. George

Mrs. George, played by the hilarious Amy Poehler, is not a mom we should be like but taking a page out of her book to try to relate more to your kids wouldn't hurt. Besides wouldn't your kids be less hesitant to introduce you to their friends if you were a "cool mom"?
