Pregnant Olivia Wilde Calls Out Selfish Subway Passengers, Hilariously Instructs Twitter Troll To Eat A Bag Of...

If you live in a large city, complete with a public transportation system that is as reliable as it is crowded, you know there's a standard protocol: if you see an elderly, disabled, or pregnant person, you get up and let them sit. Is that simple enough?

Able-bodied people give seating priority to those who would otherwise struggle to stand. Makes sense. However, sometimes people don't get up. Is it ignorance of this courtesy, or being glued to their phones? No matter the reason, when this happened to Olivia Wilde while she was using the NYC subway, she took to Twitter to vent her frustration.

Nothing like some sarcasm to get the point across, and start a conversation about this common, but sometimes not followed, courtesy. Twitter was quick to show her support with re-tweets and supportive comments.

Despite the hundreds of re-tweets and thousands of likes, there were some who played devils advocate, such as this unnamed user. The tweet has since been deleted, but Olivia's reply is still live.

Pretty straightforward instruction to the troll who suggested that she use her money to Uber so that she can sit. Money isn't the issue here, it's common decency. Next time you see a pregnant woman on a subway standing, give her a break and give up your seat. The world of public transportation will be a better place for it!
