Twitter Drags Donald Trump Within An Inch Of His Life After He Slams Meryl Streep

ICYMI, actress and national treasure Meryl Streep delivered a powerful, scathing speech last night at the Golden Globes as she accepted a lifetime achievement award. Streep stood up for foreigners, the arts, journalists, and people with disabilities in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump's hateful campaign, and wrapped up with a line from her late friend, Carrie Fisher.

The speech was brilliant and heartfelt — and it clearly got under Trump's skin. He fired back at Streep early Monday morning with a series of tweets, calling her a "Hillary flunky" and "one of the most over-rated (sic) actresses in Hollywood."

For the record, Trump *did* in fact mock a New York Times reporter who has a disability while campaigning in South Carolina in 2015. You can watch him do so below:
